Bkerki Visit
His Beatitude Patriarch Mar Bechara Boutrous Al- Raie encouraged the work of "Justice without Frontiers" regarding the topics of cancellation of gender discrimination and working on children's issues and women specifically in relation to the empowerment of women legally and help them to access to justice, noting that: "the work of young people in human rights issues is very rich and seeking for justice is important".
 He asked the organization representatives’ to communicate with competent persons from his side in the edifice of coordination and follow-up. He mentioned that during our visitfor Bkirki as part of a delegation of civil society organizations on Thursday 2 February 2012 afternoon.

Patriarch discussed several topics focused on world peace, internal peace, national dialogue, womenrights and involving young people in public administrations with the Lebanese delegation that was composed of representatives of the organization and the "Union of Peace Federation” and "Kolouna Mas’oul”


Steering Committee

"Justice Without Frontiers" (JWF) held a counselingsession about improving the legal support to women and building a partnership with decision makers, community leaders and parties specialists to enable women to access to justice. The Steering Committee gathered legal personalities, spiritual, media and civil society representatives on Tuesday, 31-1- 2012 at “Beit Al Mohamy”, Adlyeh.
Maitre Brigitte Chelebian, President of JWF spoke about the organization's work in the field of human rights and the legal support. And she focused on the most important goals for "Women Access to Justice” project that aims to support women who are victims of violence or need legal assistance to insure their awareness to their rights especially in the Personal Status Law.
 
Maitre Chelebian also announced that JWF works of the legal field by providing free legal consultations especially for vulnerable women most in need for legal aid, poor illiterate women in Lebanon whom are unable to find the legal guidance to protect them.
On the same basics, JWF is working to launch of the Guideline for “Women in the Catholic Personal Status Law” that summarizes the most important issues related to alimony, custody, separation, annulations of marriage and other issues for the Catholics.
 
The participants shared their discussions and interventions by giving their structural ideas that contribute the active work and the success of the project. They agreed to set up a second meeting aftersix months to communicate and follow up the progress of the project and play the observers’ effective role.
